BPO Contract Activity Increases in Emerging Markets While Mature Economies Pause for Thought

The BPO market continues to strengthen in the emerging economies in support of new market entry by both domestic companies and multinationals. However, there was a pause in contract activity in the mature economies during H1 2008, while organizations re-evaluated their sourcing strategies. This pause is likely to be temporary with the current economic climate encouraging organizations to be more ambitious and transformational in their sourcing strategies, while looking for a rapid return.
