The company is expected to pay an equity value of €255m in cash. The acquisition is expected to finalize before the end of 2008. This award was made within a 7-year framework contract called 'public sector Flex' (known as Project ISAAC in the procurement phase) with the U.K. government to provide IT outsourcing on a shared service basis delivered from Fujitsu's platform. This follows Fujitsu Services' decision to withdraw from contract re-set negotiations that have been going on since July 2007 over the Care Records Service (CRS), the main part of the NPfIT. While Fujitsu Services will have 20 days to register a counter claim, the company is unlikely to do so.
