NelsonHall Partners with Outsourcing Institute forming BPO SIG for Buy-Side Organizations

NelsonHall has partnered with the Outsourcing Institute (OI) forming a BPO Special Interest Group (SIG) to provide BPO information in support of OI's buy-side members.

The BPO SIG will provide the latest and greatest research on the BPO industry covering the many practice areas within BPO such as human resources, recruitment, procurement, finance & accounting, and knowledge process outsourcing, to name a few.

This go-to hub for BPO content, education and networking within the industry, will be chaired by NelsonHall CEO John Willmott and overseen by a Buyer Advisory Committee comprised of 15 experienced outsourcing buyers to address the needs and concerns of members. The group will also feature interactive discussion forums, video content, "Ask the Expert" function for any BPO related questions, event listings, and frequently updated featured content.

The BPO SIG aims to assist buy-side organizations in understanding the current reality of BPO and how BPO is developing. We will try to avoid the industry hype and separate what's real from surreal yet showcase developments and the new patterns of service delivery and capability that are emerging.

NOA - The National Outsourcing Association

As Research and Analysis Services Partner to the National Outsourcing Association (NOA), NelsonHall assists the NOA's buy-side member companies to understand the real nature of BPO and ITO markets, and to arm themselves with vital market intelligence before committing to the major expense of sourcing engagements.

The importance of understanding the dynamics of the market was recently underlined in a study conducted by NelsonHall on behalf of the NOA which showed that no action is taken in 30% of sourcing evaluations. The agreement with NelsonHall will benefit buy-side members of the NOA immediately by enabling sourcing executives to undertake up-front screening and knowledge gathering exercises.

NelsonHall's partnership with SSON began with Helen Neale, NelsonHall's HR Outsourcing program manager, acting as guest editor for SSON's HR Service Delivery publications for a series of issues beginning September 2008.
