The company offers financial advisory services, F&A-related IT services, expert support to the finance department, F&A staff augmentation as well as F&A outsourcing, with the latter including either working on client's systems or deploying a platform-based model. October 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme Steria started developing its platform-based FAO offering, called 'Connect Finance' during 2009, aiming to replicate the shared services platform model it deploys for the U.K. Department of Health for other commercial and public sector clients in the U.K. and Continental Europe. September 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme HCL is an emerging player in F&A outsourcing services with an increasing focus on FAO. September 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme IBM offers FAO services through its BPO division Managed Business Process Services (MBPS). The company does not go to market with a platform-based multi-process FAO offering, but has chosen a select sub-process, namely travel & expense management (T&E). The T&E technology 'GERS' (Global Expense Reporting Solution) was originally developed for IBM internally but has subsequently been leveraged for external clients as well. It is offered both as a hosted software product (in SaaS mode) but also as part of its multi-process FAO offering. September 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme As part of its multi-process FAO offering, Infosys has developed three platform-based FAO offerings, each for a specific F&A sub-process. September 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme In 2008 VWA launched a platform-based, multi-tenant O2C offering, based on its proprietary O2C technology, targeted at the mid-market. May 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme Accenture targets Tier 1 multinational organizations with significant geographic scale and complexity. Its value proposition is to take on end-to-end finance & accounting process management, of which B2B collections is a component and transform these processes. April 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme HCL has ~750 personnel deployed on collections services, of whom ~500 delivering B2B collections services. Services are delivered from Chennai (2 centers) and Noida (2 centers). April 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme IBM has a total of ~2,600 FTEs deployed on O2C services. NelsonHall estimates that ~500 of those deliver B2B collections services. April 2010 | Vendor Analysis by Katharina Grimme Infosys has ~4,300 FTEs for the delivery of O2C services, with ~650 FTEs delivering invoice-to-collect services.
