Report Overview:

Report Outline:

Swisscom Enterprise Customers (the division that grew out of the merger of Swisscom’s IT and telecoms activities in 2014) has acquired 50% of Geneva-based digital management consulting firm Open Web Technology SA, and is forming a JV called Swisscom Digital Technology SA.

Services offered by the JV will span consulting on digitization strategy and application architecture through to the development of customized omni-channel software or implementation of omni-channel marketing. The client portfolio includes organizations in telecoms, banking and insurance, luxury goods and security sectors.

This follows the acquisitions by Swisscom Enterprise Customers of DL Groupe SA in 2013 and Veltigroup in December 2014 (480 employees), and a partnership with EPFL in 2015. During 2015 Swisscom integrated DL Groupe into Veltigroup, which is being integrated into the Enterprise Customers division in 2016.

Open Web Technology SA, founded in 2009 by Frédéric Weill, has ~60 employees and offices in Geneva and Zurich. In addition, ~30 specialists from Veltigroup subsidiary insentia are transferring to the Swisscom Digital Technology SA JV, which will retain its Open Web Technology brand and be managed by Frédéric Weill.

Swisscom Digital Technology SA will work closely with Swisscom's Digital Enterprise Solutions department.
